Start with the reception layout.
Place the dance area where guests can see it and join it easily. On your floor plan, show the dining tables, sweetheart or head table, DJ or band, buffet, bar and entrances. Leave routes between these areas instead of using every remaining patch of space for furniture.
Ask your venue what furniture and floor space are included. If a dance area already exists, confirm whether its size and position suit your reception before renting additional flooring. For a private-property wedding, share a measured layout with your rental request.
Estimate who will dance at the same time.
A reception for 100 people does not necessarily need space for all 100 to dance at once. Think about your guests, music and schedule. A short first dance followed by dinner creates different needs from an evening centered on dancing.
As a planning exercise—not a capacity rating—100 guests with 30% dancing together means 30 simultaneous dancers; at 50%, that becomes 50. Give that expectation to the team along with your available footprint. We can then discuss the listed sizes without promising a fit based on guest count alone.
Check choreographed dances and wedding-party entrances with your coordinator. Those moments can need a different amount of clear space than casual dancing.
Compare floor dimensions with your actual space.
Look at width and length, not just square footage. A square floor may change how reception tables fit beside it. Measure the room or outdoor footprint and mark where seated guests, serving staff and equipment will be.
Use the current dance-floor collection to compare available sizes and finishes. Then check the layout with your venue or coordinator. Do not use an illustration or a general guest-count estimate as a substitute for the dimensions in your quote.
Know what the rental includes.
CFER dance-floor pricing includes setup and removal; delivery is charged separately. A tent or subfloor rental is not required to book our floor. Tell us about the intended surface and location so the setup can be reviewed for your event.
Coordinate the setup window with your venue, catering and entertainment teams. Also confirm the removal deadline: the time the reception ends may differ from the time vendors must leave the property.
Build a complete reception rental list.
Once the dance area is placed, count the remaining dining seats and separate tables for cake, gifts, drinks or catering. Compare table rentals, chairs and linens together so the room feels coordinated.
Send your wedding date, venue address, guest count, preferred floor, layout and vendor-access times. CFER serves weddings across Central Florida, including Mount Dora, Eustis, Tavares, Apopka, Leesburg and Clermont. Your quote confirms the selected items, delivery details and availability.
