Do you need a tent or a subfloor?
CFER does not require a tent or subfloor rental to book our dance floor. You can request the floor on its own for an outdoor event. That does not mean every location is suitable: tell us about the proposed surface and usable space so we can review the setup before you finalize the order.
Share whether the area is grass, concrete, pavers or another surface, along with photos that show uneven spots, slopes, drainage concerns and nearby obstacles. We will use those details to discuss the placement rather than assume a floor can go anywhere.
Measure the space around the floor, too.
Measure the clear area available for the dance floor, then consider how people will enter and leave it. Keep the route to seating, food, restrooms and exits usable. A floor that fits between two tables on paper may still leave too little room when guests pull out their chairs.
Mark the proposed floor location on your event layout before choosing the final dimensions. For a backyard event, include trees, pool edges, steps and gates on that sketch. Browse the listed dance-floor sizes, then send us the layout if you need help narrowing the choices.
Plan for delivery and the end of the night.
Our dance-floor pricing includes setup and removal. Delivery is charged separately and should be included in your event quote. Provide the actual event address, the earliest available setup time and the time by which removal must be complete.
Let us know about gates, stairs, parking restrictions and the distance between unloading and the setup area. If you are renting a venue, check its outside-vendor and access rules directly with the venue. A rental order does not reserve the venue or replace its permissions.
Have an outdoor-event backup plan.
Ask your venue or event coordinator how changing weather affects the overall event plan. Discuss an alternative layout, communication plan and any covered gathering space before event day. The fact that a tent is not required for the floor booking is separate from the weather planning for your guests and other equipment.
Do not move or alter the installed floor yourself. Contact the CFER team if the planned location or conditions change so we can review the order with you.
