What an open-air frame provides
CFER’s single 20 × 20 open-air bistro lighting frame supports string lights overhead in an X pattern, with additional lights along two opposite sides. It creates a defined lighting area while leaving the sky open above it.
The product includes the frame and described lighting. Setup and removal on grass are included. It has no tent canopy, shade cover or rain protection. Tables, chairs, linens, decor and a dance floor are separate rental items; they are not included just because they appear in an inspiration image.
What to ask for when you need cover
If your main objective is a covered dining or gathering area, begin with the tent catalog. Choose the tent model and size around the planned activities and usable site, then discuss suitable lighting as a separate requirement.
A lighting frame should not replace a covered structure in your plan. A tent also should not be treated as a severe-weather shelter. Confirm the appropriate weather and event contingency arrangements with the venue and rental team before the event, without assuming any structure guarantees that the event can continue in all conditions.
Compare the two requests side by side
| Your objective | Where to start | Clarify in the quote |
|---|---|---|
| Overhead bistro lights with an open sky | Open-air lighting frame | Frame configuration, grass area, access and power information |
| A covered dining or gathering area | Event tent | Tent size, activities, placement and any requested lighting |
| A covered area plus a separate evening gathering space | A coordinated tent and lighting plan | Separate footprints, guest routes and exactly which items are included |
The dimensions on a product listing are not a promise that it fits anywhere within that measurement. Placement and anchoring need to be reviewed for the actual site.
Plan the grass area before choosing the package
For the single frame, start with its 20 × 20-foot footprint and allow for the anchoring clearance the team confirms. Share usable grass dimensions, nearby obstacles, access details and information about available power. Do not assume a specific outlet distance or electrical arrangement is included.
CFER also lists two-frame and four-frame lighting packages. These include space between frames, so the total site requirement is larger than the sum of the individual frame footprints. Send a simple plan or site photo for the configuration you want rather than using a product image as a scaled installation plan.
Keep the furniture and dancing plan separate
List tables, chairs and any dance floor alongside the structure, with quantities and intended positions. This keeps the lighting package from being mistaken for a complete furnished event.
CFER’s dance floor does not require a tent as a booking condition. Its placement still needs a separate site review; choosing an open-air frame does not establish that every surface is suitable. Read the outdoor dance-floor guide when planning a dance area.
Send one clear brief for the whole event
Explain what you want guests to do in each area, when the event runs, and whether you need lighting, cover or both. Include your location in Mount Dora, Eustis, Tavares, Apopka, Leesburg, Clermont or the surrounding service area. Your quote confirms availability, delivery and the selected equipment.
