Compare like with like first
A 60-inch round plastic table and a 60-inch round wood table have the same stated tabletop diameter. Changing the material does not turn either into a larger table. Compare the size and shape first, then decide which available product suits the event.
Swipe the comparison table to see every column.
| Table shape | Plastic choice | Wood choice | Decide first |
|---|---|---|---|
| 60-inch round | Plastic 60-inch Round | Wood 60-inch Round | Dining layout and room for chairs |
| 8-foot rectangle | Plastic 8-foot Rectangular | Wood 8-foot Banquet | Dining, buffet or another table role |
Still deciding between table shapes? Start with our round versus rectangular table guide. That choice affects the layout more directly than the top material.
Decide what guests will actually see
If you plan to cover a table with a full linen, focus on the linen size, color and drop as well as the table beneath it. A small runner or overlay leaves more of the base layer visible. A bare table makes the tabletop itself part of the look, so review the actual product photo before selecting it.
Our wood folding banquet tables should not be mistaken for the decorative farmhouse tables you may see in wedding inspiration photos. If an exposed wood finish is central to your design, send us the look you have in mind and confirm the product before building the rest of your order around it.
Choose linens by dimensions, not material
For our standard-height 60-inch round tables, a 108-inch round linen gives a 24-inch drop, ending about 6 inches above the floor. A 120-inch round linen gives a 30-inch drop to the floor. Those measurements apply to either listed 60-inch round top at the standard 30-inch height.
Select the linen look you want on the product page; a linen is a separate item in your rental list. For rectangular tables and other dimensions, use the linen size chart. Verify both the table dimensions and linen dimensions instead of matching only a color name.
Compare the complete job, not only the table line
Make a short list of everything the tables must do: guest dining, food service, gifts, a guestbook or event check-in. Keep each role separate so a buffet table is not accidentally counted as a dining table.
Then compare the current product prices, quantities, linens and the setup or breakdown selections in your quote. Do not assume delivery and placing tables in the room are the same service. Confirm who will move, unfold, position and return the equipment, particularly when a venue has a limited access window.
If you are collecting the equipment yourself, review the table and chair pickup checklist and confirm vehicle suitability. We have not listed product weights or load limits here; ask for those details if they affect your transport or intended use.
A simple way to make your final choice
- For linen-covered dining: settle the shape and size, compare the matching products, and choose the linen drop you want.
- For a visible tabletop: review the product image and confirm that its appearance matches your plan.
- For a service station: explain what will sit on the table, then confirm suitability and the access needed around it.
- For a mixed order: identify each product and its purpose rather than requesting an unspecified number of “tables.”
